All Synaptix cannabis products are of a high and consistent quality.
They are designed to provide appropriate dosages that are convenient and cost effective.
Our products are hand crafted and are derived from high purity hemp isolates, unless indicated otherwise. We have chosen this approach because we can assure users that the products are consistent from batch to batch and we can provide users with the comfort that, once they have established the appropriate treatment regime, they can expect the same quality and purity in the future.
While a lot of the benefits of Synaptix products may be realized when you start using them, some of the benefits may also be realized after 2 – 3 weeks of use.
Our PhD Chemist, Dr. Rupert Holmes-Smith
Dr. Rupert Holmes-Smith obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry in 1982. He has worked in academia and in industry as a researcher and he has numerous scientific publications as well as several patents. In addition to his strong technical background, he has extensive business experience, both within a large multi-national and as an entrepreneur. “My interest in cannabinoids stems from my own needs to address osteoarthritis and other muscular-skeletal issues. I wanted products that would work effectively and consistently, and the best way to do that was to formulate and make them myself”.
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring cannabinoid and is found in both cannabis and hemp. Unlike it’s well known relative Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD is not psychoactive, and it has been shown to have a wide range of benefits for humans as well as some of our pets. The list of conditions that appear to benefit from CBD is growing as more research is done and as more people use products containing CBD.
CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system in our body. These interactions are predominantly with the central and peripheral nervous system and have been shown to affect a wide range of human functions, including pain expression and pain management, stress response, energy balance and metabolism, memory, anxiety, immune function, appetite, thermal regulation, and analgesia.
A key to using CBD products to treat one or more condition or ailment, is to get the right amount of CBD to the place in the body where it is needed. There are two key factors involved: 1) the concentration and formulation of the product being taken, and 2) the method of delivery (inhalation, sublingual, oral, topical, and via suppository).
Dosage frequency is also important as the effects of CBD usually last 4 – 12 hours. So, while an initial treatment regime may involve a twice daily dosage, increasing to 3 or 4 times per day may be required.
